Terms & Conditions for [Groom and Bloom Eastbourne] Dog Grooming

Welcome to Groom and Bloom Eastbourne. By scheduling an appointment with us, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Our policies are in place to ensure the safety and comfort of all pets and to maintain a high standard of service for all our clients.

 

1. General Agreement -

- By booking an appointment, you confirm that you are the owner of the pet or have the owner's permission to seek grooming services for the pet

 

- You agree to provide us with accurate information about your pet’s health, behaviour, and grooming history.

 

- You understand that all grooming services are conducted under the assumption that your pet is in good health and fit for grooming.

 

2. Flea Policy 

- Flea Inspection: All pets will be inspected for fleas during check-in. If fleas are found, a mandatory flea treatment will be administered at an additional charge of £10.

 

- Flea Treatment Fee: The flea treatment fee must be paid at the time of service. This charge covers the cost of the treatment and additional cleaning measures required to prevent the spread of fleas.

 

- Severe Infestations: If your pet has a severe flea infestation, we may be unable to complete the grooming service, and you will be responsible for any costs associated with the flea treatment up to that point.

 

- Future Appointments: Pets with recurring flea issues may be refused service until proper flea control measures are taken.

 

3. Cancellation & No-Show Policy 

- Cancellations: We require at least 24/48 hours notice for cancellations. Cancellations made with less than the required notice may incur a cancellation fee of £15.

 

- No-Shows: If you fail to show up for your appointment without notice, you will be charged a no-show fee of £15.

Multiple no-shows may result in termination of services.

 

- Rescheduling: Clients are welcome to reschedule appointments with proper notice. We will do our best to accommodate rescheduling requests but cannot guarantee availability.

 

- Late Arrivals: If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, we may need to reschedule your appointment and a late arrival fee may be applied.

 

4. Clipping and Styling Policy - Clipping and Trimming: We prioritise your pet's comfort and well-being. Clipping or shaving will be done based on your preferences and what is safe and manageable for your pet.

 

- Matted Fur: If your pet has matted fur, additional fees may apply due to the extra time and care required. Severe matting may require a shorter cut to prevent pain or discomfort for your pet.

 

- Injury and Stress: We make every effort to handle pets gently, but grooming tools can be sharp, and there is a small risk of injury. We will stop a grooming session if we feel that continuing may cause distress or harm to your pet.

 

- Owner Approval: You will be asked to approve any significant change to your pet's grooming style before it is performed. By agreeing to these changes, you accept that some cuts may be shorter than originally requested if necessary for safety or hygiene.

 

5. Health and Safety Requirements

- Vaccination: All pets must be up-to-date on vaccinations, including rabies, to ensure a safe environment for other pets and our staff. - Behavioural Issues: Please inform us if your pet has any behavioural issues or special needs. Pets displaying aggressive behaviour may be refused service for safety reasons.

 

- Injury or Illness Disclosure: If your pet has any existing health issues or injuries, please notify us prior to grooming.

 

6. Liability - Injury and Health Conditions:

- While we take every precaution to ensure the safety and well-being of your pet, grooming can sometimes exacerbate underlying health conditions or cause minor injuries. Groom and Bloom Eastbourne is not liable for any pre-existing conditions that become apparent during or after grooming.

 

- Accidents: In the event of an accident, we will inform you immediately and seek veterinary care if necessary. However, you will be responsible for any veterinary expenses.

 

7. Payment - Payment for services is due at the time of pick-up. We accept e.g., cash, bank transfer ,credit/debit card.

 

- Additional charges may apply for extra services, late fees, or unforeseen grooming needs such as flea treatments or mat removal. 

8. Personal Belongings

- We are not responsible for any personal items left with your pet, including collars, leashes, and accessories. Please remove any items you wish to keep before the grooming session. By booking a grooming appointment with Groom and Bloom Eastbourne, you agree to adhere to the policies outlined above. We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time, with the updated version made available on our website and in-store.
